Aurora Ave: what the city is planning
Aurora Ave N is one of the most dangerous streets in the state, and the city has been studying what to do about it. This month Christa Dumpys and Jordan Hoy of SDOT join us to walk through the Aurora Ave planning and design study — what’s being considered for safety, transit and the look of the corridor, where the study stands now, and what happens next. Their presentation runs about 15 minutes, which leaves plenty of the evening for your questions.
Wallingford sits close enough to feel the effects of whatever happens on Aurora, so this is a good night to show up with questions.

City budget season is underway
Mayor Wilson has delivered her proposed 2027–2028 budget, and the City Council will be working on it daily through late November. If you want a say, the two public hearings are the moment: Tuesday, October 6 and Thursday, November 5, with a final vote expected November 20.
