Training for the Community

Have you been finding syringes on the ground when you walk your dog, walk yourself, walk your child? Before you pick it up, come learn how to do so safely.

John Stanford Elementary School, in the Library

Come learn from the staff at Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) how to safely pick-up and dispose of used needles, a.k.a. ‘sharps’. Safely for you; Safely for the garbage collector.

Alison Steinbacher of SPU will also cover how to safely clean up trash associated with illegal camping, and how to safely clean up human waste.
