    • The next Monthly Meeting will be Wednesday October 2, 7 PM.
    • The WCC is looking for volunteers to help write and prepare an engagement survey. Please email communications@wallingfordcc.org and put “Survey” in the subject, if you are interested.
    • The Shorelines Committee is looking for volunteers to help prepare a proposal to improve Waterway 16 (south end of 2nd Ave NE) into a community gem that allows the public a lovely place to access Lake Union. Please email communications@wallingfordcc.org if interested, and put “Waterway 16” in the subject, if you are interested.
    • Historic Wallingford Remodel & Restore Workshop and Home Tour: Saturday September 2, 10:00 AM, in room 202 of the Good Shepherd Center.

Ballots Due on Election Day, Tuesday August 6

Ballot Drop Box at Waterway 19 next to Gas Works Park.

Please vote in the Primary Election.

Ballots can be returned by mail for free without a stamp, and must be postmarked by Election Day, Tuesday August 6. Or ballots can be placed in a Ballot Drop Box by 8 PM on Election Day.

There is a Ballot Drop Box next to Gas Works Park. It is located at the Waterway 19 pull-out just east of the main parking lot on N Northlake Way.

Paving Project Open House, Thursday July 25

Green Lake and Wallingford Paving Project

Construction for the Green Lake and Wallingford Paving Project will start as soon as July 29. The Seattle Department of Transportation will host an Open House where you can learn what to expect from upcoming construction, meet the project team, and review maps of the final design.

Historic Wallingford Lecture, Friday July 19

Architectural Character of the Wallingford Bungalow

Presented by Thomas Veith. Architectural Historian, Designer, Author, and long time Wallingford resident.

Tom will discuss the stylistic elements most often associated with the Wallingford bungalow and how the character of these early 20th century houses developed over time with changing tastes and typological innovation. He will also examine elements of other residential styles and related plan types that became popular in the years between the end of the Victorian era and the onset of the Depression. Tom will conclude with some comments on the significance of the bungalow as a contributor to the architectural character of the Wallingford neighborhood.
